One of the great underappreciated indie outfits that emerged in Britain at the start
of the Noughties, the White brothers (Alex and Tom) behind The Electric Soft Parade
have recorded only sporadically since their moment cruelly passed them by. Stages is
their fifth record, and first in seven years. Inspired by the passing of their mother,
it’s the most emotionally heart-wrenching and sonically ambitious thing they’ve ever
put their names to.
